To: aziz.majidi@sci.ui.ac.id

Dear Aziz,

We have two postdoctoral positions in theoretical/computational
condensed
matter physics. They are funded by a large EPSCoR grant to establish a
state-wide
graduate research and education program in computational materials. We
wonder if
you know suitable candidates interested and qualified for research in the
field
of Theoretical/Computational Studies of Correlated Electronic and Magnetic
Systems.
We include a complete description of the positions at the end of this
message. We
would appreciate if you could forward this information to potential
candidates.

Best regards,
Mark Jarrell and Juana Moreno

Postdoctoral Positions in Theoretical/Computational Condensed Matter
Physics at LSU
***********************************************************************************

Two postdoctoral positions are available at Louisiana State University in
Theoretical/Computational Studies of Correlated Electronic and Magnetic
Systems sponsored by the NSF. Applicants should have a PhD in Physics or a
related field. Candidates for these positions should have knowledge of many
body techniques as applied to electronic or magnetic systems, some
background in high performance computing, and an interest in the
development and application of new computational methods for correlated
electronic many body systems. We will begin evaluating applications
immediately. We expect the postdoctoral positions to be filled no later
than September 1, 2014.

These open positions are funded by a large NSF grant to establish a
state-wide graduate research and education program in computational
materials. Candidates may also be able to participate in an international
research program working with US, German and Swiss faculty. The LSU
condensed matter group has grown significantly recently with seven new
hires and now totals fifteen faculty. More information may be found at
http://www.phys.lsu.edu/newwebsite/research/condensed.html and
http://institute.loni.org/lasigma.

Remuneration: The annual salary is $54,000 year. The position comes with
a benefits package described in
http://uiswcmsweb.prod.lsu.edu/hrm/Employees/Benefits/item57271.html.

Application: To apply for this position, please email your CV, statement
of research interests and arrange to have three letters of reference to
Carol Duran at cduran@lsu.edu. LSU is an Equal Opportunity/Equal Access
employer. Women and minority candidates are encouraged to apply.
