*Sydney, Australia, 29th December 2008* ? A simple and powerful message was
delivered today by over 800 Muslims who came out in condemnation of
Israeli?s assault on Gaza in a protest organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir Australia
in Lakemba.
The emergency gathering was organised within 24 hours after news of the
Israeli aggression reached Sydney, and an unequivocal message was sent.
Speakers highlighted that Palestine is Islamic land and that the Palestinian
issue is an Islamic issue, whose Islamic resolution is to repel the
invasion.
Uthman Badar, media representative of Hizb-ut-Tahrir Australia, says,
*"The question of Israel will not be resolved through the UN, the US or UK,
the OIC or the Arab League. It will be resolved on the battlefield, as all
invasions are. There is no room for negotiations, two-states, or compromise
solutions."*
*"The past 60 years of Israeli oppression and Palestinian suffering have
clearly shown the imperial designs of the Western powers on the Islamic
lands, the persistent aggression of Israel, as well as the betrayal and
impotence of the Arab rulers. Only a sincere Islamic leadership, the
Khilafah state, can put things in their proper place and defend the Muslim
honour and blood."*
