Dear MNI Indonesia,

Warm greetings from ANF Secretariat in Singapore!

On behalf of organizer, we'd like to invite the ANF members to participate the POP NANO 2011(The 2011 Global Nano Innovation Contest-Prototype on Prototype).

POP NANO is organized by National Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Program Office (NNP), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and Taiwan Nanotechnology Industry Development Association (TANIDA), and held in collaboration with institutions from several other countries. In recent years, the application of Nanotechnology has been ubiquitous and is now embedded in all disciplines and industries. Armed with newly discovered phenomena and revolutionary theories, it has enabled products with previously unseen features, and the fast pace of progress has in turn stimulated more resources and dimensions of originality, creating an ever broader array of new prototypes. It is expected that this competition will further facilitate this virtuous cycle, and help trigger the genesis of a full-blown nanotechnology
application. Participants can submit their own ideas based on concepts from the video to create and design their own products.

The 2011 POP NANO (a Global Nano Innovation Contest - Prototype on Prototype initiated by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan) is open for registration. Scientist/students and industry are now invited to participate in the contest.

There are two stages, first to submit your ideas by Dec 31, 2010. The second is to make the prototype. The final contestants will be invited to Taiwan for demonstrating the prototype and the award competition. The top prize is 15,000USD.

The contest is not limited to specific disciplines as long as the prototype is enabled by nanotechnology. You may integrate any of the prototype ideas into a more sophisticated system or application with potential commercial value, which is the spirit of prototype on prototype (POP).
