Kagem kangmas Mat Gemboel,

power supply apaan neh ini ? jangan jangan PSU hibah guwe pada pirman
pas ada kodpar di Plaza Semanggi. Dulu janjian mau ngoprek bareng,
tapi berhubung guwe pindah tugas di lereng Merapi nyaingin Mbah
Marijan ya tinggal pengin dowang.

Betewe, di lereng Merapi di kantor guwe juga bejibun neh sparepart
komputer, kelas jadul malah, tapi belum guwe data, siapa tahu ada
spare part baru yang bisa dipake buat ngursus anak anak desa lebih
kenal komputer dan internet. Atau yang nggak kepake mungkin dihibahkan
ke senior sini, tapi kudu mau nanggung biaya paket. Hiks .. perilaku
nyumbang sparepart kuno masih belum hilang. kekekekekekeke

Btw, PSU yang dari bang Yohan kemaren itu masi ada noh, blom aye apa-apain.
Kemaren sempet cobak tuncep di Gigabyte GA-5AA plus K6-2 450MHz. Tapi tetep
kagak nyala juga. Padahal jeroan tuh kompie udah kinclong lagi, bebas debu.
Jangan-jangan motherboard musti direndem rinso dulu. Kapan mau ke rumah? Aye
siapin teh pembakar lemak dah :-B

ya, itu 8086XT, memori 640kb. gak pakai harddisk, dua disk drive 5,25".
tapi jaman itu sudah ada virus, denzuko atau (c) brain. bukannya takut,
malah senang kalau disketnya kena virus, lha habis gambarnya bagus sih
saat muncul, hahaha :D

benar, sekitar tahun 86-87 tuh. waktu itu software andalannya pc tools,
untuk mengedit hex, diubah kata-kata softwarenya ke bahasa indonesia,
wkwkwkwkwk..

nah, saat windows 3.0 muncul, baru deh butuh harddisk, upgrade ke 80286,
uhuy... :D

Wkwkwkwkwk.... sama, itu virus Denzuko, malah bikin seneng setiap kita teken ctrl alt del, muncul dari sisi kiri & kanan layar trus menyatu di tengah.......... :D

Maksudny kompienya PC-XT 8088/8086. Masih jamannya pak PC-DOS versi 3.2/3.3. Ngetik pake Wordstar 4.0, ngitung pake Lotus 123, data pake dBase3+....kekekekekek...... Aplikasi2 tsb skrng udah lama "punah? yach......

Wahh, setau ane, pros K6-III itu barang langka, apalagi yg 500, kebanyakan
yg 450. Coz K6-III itu produk gagal, bukan dalam arti gagal performancenya,
tapi gagal produksi coz banyak yield/wafer K6-III sbg bahan baku chip pros
yg gak bisa mateng. K6-III merupakan produk pertama AMD yg menerapkan triple
cache (64KB L1 & 256KB L2 on chip) dan 512-1024KB onboard.

Dengan bertambahnya L2 cache tsb AMD kayaknya sulit untuk "memasukkan"
tambahan jutaan transistor ke dalam 1 chip dgn teknologi yg ada pd saat itu,
yg pada akhirnya gak banyak prosesor ini bisa diciptakan. Ada kesan AMD
memaksakan masuknya L2 cache tsb dalam chip yg blm ditingkatkan proses
manufakturnya.
Prosesor ini maunya siy mau dihadapkan dgn Pentium IIInya Intel, meski
sebenarnya tetep kalah kelas sebelum AMD ngeluarin pros Athlon.

Gw aja dulu pernah mo nyari2 pros ini jamannya supersocket 7, cuma susah
banget barangnya, meski sekenannya aja. Yg banyak ya K6-2.

Saya pake buat kerja tuh. Spek segitu yakin dah bisa lah. Krn kan udah barang2 baru tuh yg rata2 udah dukung 64 bit.
Asal jangan pake P4 lawas aja, lom dukung!

Soal software sudah banyak sekali yg dukung versi 64 bit, kadang 1 s/w bisa dukung kedua nya (spt aplikasi buat internet, google sketchup, office 2007), kadang perlu cari yg versi 64 bit khusus (spt daemon tools, autoCAD). Tapi tetep ada juga yg ga bisa jalan di 64 bit krn khusus utk 32 bit.
Klo game2 belom pernah coba krn ga pernah install dan maen game di 64 bit.
Kendala yg paling penting saya bilang adalah driver nya. Krn sering kali butuh khusus yg buat 64 bit (ato bahkan khusus win 7 64 bit). Cek lagi di CD driver dan di web nya deh.
