Tren penurunan ini sebenarnya dah mulai kliatan per tahun 2006 lalu. Tapi
memang baru terasa setelah pertengahan 2009.
Keliatannya, akses internet yang semakin murah dan cepat bikin orang tak
lagi cuma bisa interaksi lewat milis. Kini pengguna lebih suka lewat forum,
blog, lalu jejaring/media sosial yang lebih interaktif dan tidak cuma teks
saja seperti milis.
